Apple WWDC Conference
WWDC - Apple's annual developer conference has brought many new features. There were no revolutionary solutions among them, but the fans of the "gnawed apple" certainly enjoyed it. With what novelties especially?
The Apple Conference, as it was every year, aroused great interest all over the world. This year's main highlights at the Apple conference were new iPad Pro, refreshed Macs and iMacs, and HomePod speaker.
New iPads, refreshed iMacs
New iPads will stand out in screen sizes. It will be available in one of two versions - with a diagonal screen of 10.5 "and 12.9". Screens will be one of the strong points of the new iPad. Brightness 600 nits, HDR and True Tone, with which the screen will be able to adjust the white balance itself to meet the needs. In addition, iPad screens can boast a refresh rate of 120 Hz. And it will make it much more convenient to write on them with a stylus. And when we leave the stylus to your finger, the device will automatically change the refresh rate. Finally, it is worth mentioning about the new iPad software. IPad Pro after the premiere will be able to upgrade to OS version 11, which will give the tablet a lot of opportunities. On the iPad we will be able to work about 10 hours without charging. That's good news too.
We can also be happy with the new iMaks, although here it was without a great revolution. Noteworthy are the lighter screens (500 nits), increased speed and new graphics, which is probably the strongest point of these improvements. And so the 21.5-inch iMac with Full HD screen got integrated in the Iris Pro 640 integrated graphics. The iMac Retina 4k will be available with external Radeon 555 or 560 with 4GB VRAM. The largest 27-inch 5K will be available with Radeon 570, 575 and 580 cards and 8 GB VRAM.
The conference also saw the launch of new operating systems for Apple products. Makow users have received a new Mac OS High Sierra, and all iPhone and iPad users - OS 11. Beta testing has just started in mid-June. And also from such trifles - was also created Monument Valley 2. Continuation of this popular mobile game can be downloaded from the iTunes AppStore for about 24 PLN.
Speaker Assistant - HomePod
The main protagonist of this year's event was - the smart HomePod speaker. One of the most interesting features is Spatial Awareness. With its help, the speaker scans the room and, based on the received data, adjusts the strength and intensity of individual audio beams so that the sound sounds optimally. HomePod is not only a speaker, but also a voice assistant. It answers questions about the song being played but also helps with general knowledge questions. You'll wake you up in the morning if you set your alarm clock, inform your country and world news, and warn of the rain. Of course not all speaker capabilities, which will certainly be expanded.
Most of these novelties will have to wait a long time. The Polish market will not be available until next year.
