Huawei phone owners have certainly met with a message on the screen that contactless mode has been enabled. This usually doesn't say much to the user. What is this mode and how can it be turned off?
What is the non-contact mode and how it works?
The EMUI system overlay is responsible for the non-contact mode. Its task is to protect the phone against accidental activities, for example when carrying it in your pocket. This works by sensing over the phone that the top of the device is not covered. This proximity sensor will determine if the smartphone is in a place where it should not start, for example in a purse or backpack.
This is a seemingly good solution, but in some situations it can be very annoying. For example, it may happen that your phone grasps at its upper part. Choosing handles and a case for the phone is also problematic. The covered upper part of the housing is an automatic message asking you to reveal it.
How to turn off contactless mode?
In EMUI, disabling this mode is not difficult. Thanks to this, you can regulate its presence depending on the circumstances.
On Android, go to 'Settings' and then 'Intelligent Help'. After entering it, also find the "More" tab. Then all options related to smart help will be displayed. Select the "Touch off mode" switch and change its position. That's all it takes to turn off contactless mode. You can change this setting at any time.
