Tired of collecting information about yourself through various websites, including Facebook? Here are some simple tips to stop Facebook from spying on you.
Why is Facebook spying on you?
Every activity on the Internet leaves a mark. Facebook has access not only to your activity within its framework, but also to the pages you visit. Recently, it became possible to check privacy for more options. This allows you to view and delete the data collected about you, and even completely stop recording your activity outside of Facebook. Social media uses this information to primarily display advertisements that are relevant to you. Sometimes such a solution is not bad, because, for example, you will see an attractive promotion, if the system registers that you often visit a store's website or even browse a specific product while considering the purchase. Most people are unfortunately very dissatisfied with such a large interference in their lives, which is used for marketing purposes.
How to stop social media snooping?
If you want to stop it, go to the Settings tool on your profile, then select Your information on Facebook, and then Activity outside of Facebook. After entering your password, you will have access to all sites that provided Facebook with information about your activities.
In the upper part you can check: How Facebook got this activity. Most of the information comes from Facebook's business tools. If you want to prevent this, go down and select Send feedback about this activity. After selecting the reason, you can send such information. You can also click Disable future activity. This way, you will block snooping and prevent this type of advertisement from being displayed.
In Manage Future Activity, you can also decide how your internet activity is used. You have a chance to view your activity history there and also delete it. Thanks to this, you will get rid of the current tracking.
