How to block 18+ sites on the phone?

Nowadays, you can find a huge amount of different content on the Internet. Not all of them are suitable for minors. If you want to be sure that your child does not visit websites that are not intended for him or you do not want to accidentally find them, you need to learn how to block 18+ content on your phone.

Browser extensions:

Each web browser will have its own independent extension system that will allow you to block unwanted content. The easiest way to find them is through the extension search engine in a given search engine. After entering the password, parental control can count on numerous hints from which you can choose the best model.

Blocking 18+ pages from children in Google search:

Currently, the most popular Internet search engine is Google. From its level, you can block content that is inappropriate for children, so that it does not even accidentally enter it. Various types of browser extensions are used for this. The most popular is Google SafeSearch. How it works is simple: All adult-only content, photos, and videos will be removed from the search results. Thanks to this, the child will not be able to find them. In this way, you can protect the entire phone, a given search engine or only the account of a given user. It all depends on what device is to be installed - whether it belongs exclusively to the child or one that he uses from time to time.
This tool is very popular and it is also used in schools. However, it is not without its drawbacks - it basically only blocks content that was previously marked as 18+. Not all websites do this, which is why it does not guarantee 100% security. For example, many authors of YouTube videos do not mean well content or do it late.
On phones, it works in conjunction with the Family Link application. Works on mobile devices with Android and iOS. It is very universal and therefore such a popular extension.

Adult site blocking on iOS phones:

Parental control is a set of tools proposed by each operating system independently. On iOS, this is quite easy. By default, content filtering tools are installed, you just need to run them properly. To do this, go to Settings, then Screen Time, and Restrict content and privacy. After entering the Screen Time passcode selected in Settings, you need to turn on Content Restrictions and Web Content. You can choose from Unlimited Access, Block Adult Sites, and Only Allowed Sites. Depending on your choice, additional information may need to be provided. This method is very simple and basically nothing else needs to be done. It's not a perfect solution, but it's a good replacement for paid apps.

Limited profile on tablet:

It is also not difficult to filter content available for children on the tablet. Android devices have a restricted profile. It allows you to block specific types of content unsuitable for minors. To create it, go to Settings and create a new profile in the Users section. For example, you can name the restricted profile by the child's name to make it easier to navigate between them. In the list of applications and functions, you must select Enable or Disable, depending on which ones are to be available to the child.
You can also set up a child's Google Account in a similar way. For this, however, you need to know your login details.

Parental control applications:

Of course, there are also parental control apps available on the market. When choosing them, pay attention to several elements. First of all, they should work the same, regardless of the network the mobile device is connected to. Many applications have a convenient option that allows them to be controlled from a parent's device. In many cases, applications filter the available content very effectively. Their downside is undoubtedly the cost. Most, and certainly the better ones, operate on a paid subscription basis.

Protect Children on the Web:

Protect Children on the Web is one of the most popular parental control applications. First of all, it is intuitive and easy to use. Once installed, you can follow your child's online activities. In this way, for example, you can remotely block inappropriate content or even access to social media. The report is generated on the basis of the websites the young person visits, so you can check what content is most often searched by him. You can also monitor internet access time in the application. It is available for both Android and iOS. The first month of using it is free, then it is paid.
